Texas Flood
Well It's been raining and raining for 2 months now in Austin. The rivers are overflowing, everything is green and the temperatures are cool for this time of the year. Mother Nature, casting her spell on us.
The Band of Heathens have been busy working in the studio on a follow-up to last year's Live At Momo's with producer extraordinaire and vibe doctor Mr. Ray Wylie Hubbard. We're almost finished mixing and can't wait to unveil the new record for everyone. Look for an early 2008 release.

In addition, we are wrapping up editing on our DVD/CD package that was recorded at historic Antone's in June. Hopefully that will hit the streets by the fall.

The road calls, and we venture on. Drop me a line sometime.

Cheers
-EJ

:: Longshores Drive, Ed Jurdi's new album released on RedFez Records, is the follow-up to his critically acclaimed self-titled 1999 debut. On Longshores Drive, Ed is joined by cohorts Marc Hickox (bass) and Rohin Khemani (drums) along with such luminaries as John Platania, Jon Nolan, Tom Yoder, Mark Sabath, and Mark Erelli, and the results are exceptional. From New Orleans shuffles ("Walking and Talking") to cool Memphis soul ("Bumblee") to poignant balladry ("Passing Time"), there's a little something for everyone.
Don't forget to pick up a copy of Longshores Drive at your local supermarket, Red Fez Records Cd Baby or ITunes. Take a look at Indieville.Com which had some wonderful things to say about the music on Longshores Drive.
